The Opportunity

FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and construction contractor for an experienced Civils / Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Estimator to join its team in the Southwest, covering Cork, Kerry, Clare and Limerick.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator with a strong background in civil engineering and M&E works, particularly wastewater infrastructure, to play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive tenders for both upgrade and new-build projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tenders for civil engineering and M&E projects.

Price upgrades to existing wastewater pumping stations, as well as new-build pumping station and associated infrastructure projects.

Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

Identify project risks, potential cost variations and commercial considerations during the estimating process.

Ensure all tender submissions are accurate, comprehensive and delivered within the required deadlines.

Key Requirements

Proven experience in both civil and mechanical and electrical estimating is essential .

Demonstrable experience pricing upgrades to existing wastewater pumping stations, as well as new-build projects.

Strong understanding of construction costs, project pricing and commercial considerations.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tender deadlines.

Location

The role will cover projects across Cork, Kerry, Clare and Limerick.
